Jessie Wilton Callahan, 76 passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Durham.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Debbie Matthis and Rev. Andy Wood.  Burial with Air Force honors will follow at Black's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dunn.

There will be a walk through visitation on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home for friends to come by and pay their respects to Mr. Callahan.

He was born at Fort Rucker, Alabama to the late Delphas and Vara Callahan.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, John W. Callahan and James Fulton Callahan.

He was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church, where he was a former Sunday school teacher, lead usher and a faithful servant of God.  He also was retired from the United States Air Force with 21 years of service.

He is survived by sisters, Dessie Starling of Godwin and Judy Upton & husband, Virgil of Surf City; and brothers, Bruce "Red" Callahan & wife, Pam of Erwin, Jerry Callahan & wife, Dianne of Dunn and William Callahan & wife, Ginny of Newton Grove.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jessie's memory to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 7536 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC  28391.
