Mr. Jerry Kenneth Melvin, 72

ROSEBORO Mr. Jerry Kenneth Melvin, 72 of the Beaver Dam Community, Roseboro, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2013 after gallantly fighting serious health related illnesses for twenty-five years. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Shook and Dr. Odell Peterson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wiley R. Melvin of Beaver Dam and Robert D. Melvin of Wilson. He is survived by: his caretaker of 10 years and niece, Denise Hall and husband, Michael of Autryville; two brothers, Phillip A. Melvin and wife, Jeannette and James D. Melvin, Jr. and wife, Jane both of Fayetteville; his sister-in-laws, Edna Melvin of Beaver Dam and Linda Melvin of Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4706 Beaver Dam Church Road, Roseboro, and other times at the home of Mike and Denise Hall.
