FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Jerry Wayne Barker, Sr., 58 of 1403 Cedar Creek Road, Fayetteville, died on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at The Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Wiley Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Pauls. Mr. Barker was born on December 15, 1953 in Robeson County to the late William James and Addie Prevatte Barker, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Frankie Barker. He was a Truck Driver for 30 years earning the Safety Driver Award for three million miles with no accident. He was a member of the Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the Administrative Council. He loved the Lord and his church and was a great witness for Him up until the end. He is survived by: his wife, Belinda W. Barker of the home; one daughter, Angela Barker of Hope Mills; one son, Jerry Wayne Barker, Jr. of Hope Mills; one sister, Deborah Barker Brown of Fayetteville; one brother, Billy Barker of Fayetteville; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon from 12:00 to 1:45 P.M. at Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church, Fayetteville, and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church Men's Ministry, 1830 Baywood Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312; or to the SECU Family House, 123 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Wiley Clark officiating.
