Mr. Jerry Martin, Sr., 59 passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Duke University Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Andy Wood.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Martin and his son, Jerry Martin, Jr.

Mr. Martin was originally from the 71st area of Fayetteville; and worked for Horne Brothers for many years. He helped make a module solar panel system and taught the guys from Horne Brothers how it worked. Jerry loved his family, fishing and being with friends. He and Maryann bought their log cabin dream house where they spend many happy times. He was also a member of Freedom Biker Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann Martin of the home; sons, Adam and Aaron Martin both of Bremerton, WA; mother, Pearl Martin of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Ava Martin; brothers, Jackie Martin of Florida, Lance Martin of South Carolina; and sister, Debbie Foy of Richlands, NC.

Jerry will truly be missed by all who knew him, for now he is in Heaven with the angels.
