He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted Maxton Bunce and Ann Alexander McCall Bunce.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lisa Sessoms Bunce of the home; children, Lauren Bunce of Stedman, Jesse Bunce Brinkley & husband, Adam “AJ’ of Roseboro, and Chase Bunce of Stedman; granddaughter, Ella Ann Brinkley of Roseboro; sister, Sheila Kimbel & husband, Steven of Ohio; brother, Maxton Bunce & wife, Deborah of Stedman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
After graduating from High School and Charlotte Diesel Motor College, Jeffrey returned home to Stedman where he opened Stedman Service Center and after selling Lisa a set of tires they married and operated the station together for 6 years. Jeffrey then moved on to work for Purolator, and after 17 years decided to come back to Stedman once again to work with the family at Bunce Brothers Farms.
Jeffrey loved his family and friends without end. Lisa was the Love of his life and during their 37 years of marriage they had three beautiful children Lauren, Jesse and Chase. This year, Jeffrey’s first grand baby was added to the group- Ella Ann. There’s not a single thing he wouldn’t do for his family… he called his Mama every morning and was always a helping hand for his Daddy.
Jeffrey never met a stranger. You could not begin to count the amount of friends he had. His passion in life was doing for others. No matter the need that arose, Jeffrey loved to give a helping hand and always went above and beyond to serve. The number of barbecue benefits, yard work and house projects, produce basket deliveries, and community fish fries are countless as Jeffrey always made sure everyone was well taken care of.
When Jeffrey was not serving others, he was at the beach. When he was very young, his love for fishing was instilled by his Daddy and he has passed that same passion on to each of his three children. Specifically to note, Portsmouth Island was his favorite place to fish and many countless memories were made with family and friends there.
Jeffrey lived life to the absolute fullest and Loved stronger than anyone. Just remember, in our best Jeffrey Bunce voice, “Baby, I love you.”
