Mrs. Jean Hairr Stewart, 73

AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Jean Hairr Stewart, 73 of 3506 Maxwell Road, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Clement Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Jeff Stewart and Rev. Alton Burrow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Stewart was born on March 23, 1938 in Sampson County to the late Lattie A. and Bettie Royal Hairr. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her sister, Elma Tyndall; and two brothers, Lattie A. Hairr, Jr. and Rupert Hairr. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: her husband, R.J. Stewart of the home; one son, Gary Stewart and wife, Linda of Spivey's Corner; two daughters, Karen Carter and husband, Mike of Clement, and Gwen Davidson and husband, Steven of Hope Mills; one sister, Gertrude Spell of Roseboro; three brothers, Carl E. Hairr and Omax Hairr both of Greensboro, and Roger Hairr of Stedman; six grandchildren, Alan Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Jeannie Goodman and husband, Scott, Brandy Hall, Carrie Hogan and husband, Chris, and Josh Hall and wife, Michelle; and four great grandchildren, Aiden Goodman, Collin Goodman, Mackenzie Lacey and Aubrey Hall. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 to 8 P.M. at Clement Church of God of Prophecy, 3990 Maxwell Road, Autryville; and other times at the home.
