Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Knowles, 86, of Salemburg went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at The Gardens of Roseboro.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Holland's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Roseboro with Reverend Tommy Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Knowles was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of William Rafton and Della Jane Hairr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willey Dixon Knowles (Doodle); and 2 brothers, William Earl Hairr and Alger Leevon Hairr of Salemburg. She was a seamstress for many years.

She is survived by 2 sons, Russell Knowles and wife Lisa of Autryville, Dwight Knowles and wife Julie of Willard; 5 grandchildren, Brittney Knowles, Brianna Knowles, Braylon Knowles, Skylar Knowles, and Shanna McDade; 2 great grandchildren, Emma McDade and Cash McDade; and many nieces and nephews.
