Mrs. Jean Averitte Francis of 124 Wade Stedman Road, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 09, 2023.

Mrs. Francis was born at Highsmith Hospital in Fayetteville, NC on July 14, 1941 to the late John Langston Averitte and Irene Buckingham Averitte.  She was a member of Cokesbury Methodist Church of Stedman, NC.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Francis; brother, Buzz Averitte; her sister, JoAnn Heath; grandson, Stephen Smith; and great granddaughter, Arianna Sawyer.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sandra White of Cameron, NC, Donna Brown & husband, Alan of Stedman, and Brenda Carver & husband, Eddie of Stedman; four grandchildren, Terry Brown of Stedman, Kim Brown of Fuquay Varina, Heather Sawyer of Cameron, and Brittany Bunce of Fayetteville; six great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Kenzie Smith, Alana Oxendine, Ava Brown, Bryson Bunce, and Michael Lee Simzyk; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Cokesbury Methodist Church in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Burkhart.  Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the church prior to the service, and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Cokesbury Methodist Church, 7536 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC  28391.
