Mr. Jay Bee Johnson, 85

Mr. Jay Bee Johnson, 85, of 2404 NC 242 Highway North, died Tuesday June 13, 2006 at Sunbridge Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Friday June 16, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at Briar Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewey Ball and Rev. Ransom Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Johnson was a native of Bladen County, and the son of the late Henry Lee Johnson and Mamie Davis. He was a Motor Grader Operator with the N.C. Forestry Service. Mr. Johnson is survived by: wife, Ophelia D. Johnson, of the home; two daughters, Betty Bromley-Turner and husband Jim of Rocky Point, and Katherine J. Brown and husband Richard of Garland; three grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one step-grandchild and two step-great grandchildren. The family will recieve friends Thursday night from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
