Mrs. Janie Mae Lucas Ransbotham, 88 of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Roseboro with Dr. Kevin Moore and Rev. Steve Branch officiating.

Mrs. Ransbotham was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Otto and Eunice Naylor Lucas.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Ronsbotham; granddaughter, Jamie Long and five siblings.  She was retired as administrative assistant to the Adjutant General with the Dept. of US Army JFK Special Warfare Center at Ft. Bragg.

She is survived two daughters, Sandra Kaye Malvarez of Hope Mills and Audrey Lynn Stone Powell and husband, Phillip of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Gesino of Orlando, FL and Sadie Kunkel of Fayetteville; one brother, Wendell Lucas of New York.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
