Mrs. Jane Everett Howard Price, 91 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Salemburg Cemetery with the Reverend Andrew Bolin officiating.

Mrs. Price was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of John Stewart and Mary Lillie Cox Howard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sanford Scott Price and two sisters, Mary Lois Harrison and Elizabeth Freeman.

She was a former member of Sampson County Board of Education. She received a Governor’s Award for volunteer hours. She was a former member of the Salemburg Zoning Board. She was the director of the Howard – Cooper Scholarship Fund. She also was a member of Salemburg Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Sanford Scott Price, Jr. and wife, Sophia Price; and Howard Nelson Price and wife, Laura Peek; her daughter, Jan Price Hylton and husband, Jim Hylton; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Isabel Gist, Betsy Breckenridge and her twin sister, Jean Taylor.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Howard-Cooper Scholarship fund.
