Stedman
Mr. James Howard White, Sr., 70 of 1293 Bainbridge Road, Stedman passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Cape Fear Valley Hospital after a long illness.
A celebration of the life of Mr. White will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Greg Dixon and Rev. Samuel Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the Autry-McAlpin Cemetery on Bainbridge Road in Stedman, NC.
Mr. White was born on September 2, 1943 to the late Wilbur and Myrtice White. He was the founder of Mid-South Truck Lines, Inc. and a member of Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mr. White is survived by his loving wife, Betty Florence Pope White; two sons, James H. White, Jr. and wife, Melanie and Lynn White and wife, Peggy all of Stedman; a daughter, Belivia White Autry and husband Eddie of Stedman. He cherished his grandchildren, Julie Till and husband, Bryan, Dean Autry, Bobby Autry and wife Samantha, April White Scott and husband, Scotty, Sydney White and Austin White; and one brother, Harold White and wife, Jennell of Benson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church Family Life Center.
