Mr. James Henry Walton, 85 passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Deborah Carlisle. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseboro.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 2:45pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

He was born August 4, 1932 in Onslow County, NC to the late Seth Thomas Walton and Lettie Maebelle Melton Walton. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Walton.

He is survived by his daughters, Helen Lane & husband, Jerry of Gray's Creek, Tammy Thomas & husband, Gary of Fayetteville and Brenda Walton & husband, Jimmie of Roseboro; sons, Richard Kim Walton & wife, Angela of Roseboro and Bobby Walton & wife, Deloris of Hope Mills; sisters, Millie Ann Norris and Agnes Baird both of Wilmington; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
