Mr. James Cecil Taylor, 76 went to be with the Lord Friday, December 3, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Horne Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:50 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Taylor was a former native of Norfolk County, Virginia, the son of John Cecil and Esther Lee Brinkley Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Taylor was a retired Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy of 23 years. He also worked with Taylor Express Trucking.

He leaves to cherish his memory his life companion, Eva Dalton of the home; brother, Doug Taylor and wife, Dianne of Fayetteville; nephew, Robbie Taylor, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Fayetteville; and great-nephew, Douglas Taylor, III of Fayetteville.
