Salemburg
Mr. James "Stevie" Steven Honeycutt, 63, of Salemburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his home.
A celebration of life of service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Union Grove Baptist Church Gazebo.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2026 after the service in the fellowship hall.
Stevie was a native of Sampson County, the son of James and Daphine Tew Honeycutt. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stevie was a graduate of Midway High School in 1981. He was a hard working man with a good, loving heart who had a strong work ethic and took pride in every task he started until finished. He enjoyed his pets and caring for his goats.
He loved the outdoors, gardening and doing small jobs on his tractor. He enjoyed employment at Smithfield Foods, driving his feed truck and his co-workers. He loved NASCAR and back in the day went to several races at Daytona and Talladega.
His greatest pastime was spending time with friends and family socializing and reminiscing.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lynette Honeycutt of the home; step-daughter, Kelly Spell of Salemburg; three sisters, Joey Honeycutt of Salemburg; Gwen Craft and husband, Ellery of Wallace; and Holly Naylor and husband, Dwight of Roseboro; six nieces, Amanda Thornton and husband, Brian, Tiffany Edwards and husband, Jay, Tonya Craft, Brooke Kerrigan and husband, Stephen, Megan Godwin and husband, Garrett, and Dawn Files and husband, Jason; three great-niece and nephews, Garrett Lane Godwin, Tyson James Godwin and Caleigh Godwin.
