James "Jay" Payton Sessoms, Jr.

Mr. James “Jay” Payton Sessoms, Jr., 51 of Autryville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2024 at UNC Rex Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Jeff Bartlett officiating. The burial will follow at Wiley Autry Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Jay was a native of Sampson County, the son of James Payton and Sylvia Jean Faircloth Sessoms. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Payton Sessoms of Autryville; his daughter, Brittany Brock of Roseboro; his grandson, Jesse Key of Roseboro; his aunt, Alda Faircloth of Autryville; and two uncles, Tommy Faircloth of Autryville; and Mike Faircloth of Roseboro.
