James "Jimmie" Montague Weaver, Iii

ROSEBORO, NC Mr. James "Jimmie" Montague Weaver, III, 77 of Roseboro, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, January 29, at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, with Pastor James E. Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery. Mr. Weaver was a native of Sampson County, the son of James Montague Weaver, II and Gertie Louise Parnell Weaver.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Tanner Weaver; and a sister, Sue Chance.  He was a minister with the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, an automotive body repairman and a farmer. He is survived by his son, Travis Weaver and wife, Tammy Crumpler of Roseboro; one grandson, Aaron Weaver of Roseboro; granddaughter, Leanna Crumpler of Raleigh; sister, Christal Freeman of Roseboro; and god-granddaughter, Savannah Simmons of Roseboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro is serving the family.
