Mr. James "Mac" McPhail Cooper, 60 of Fayetteville, died on Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Wade with Rev. Ronald Loftis officiating.
Mr. Cooper was born on July 13, 1953 in Cumberland County and was a dedicated employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Earl C. and Pattie Holmes Cooper.
He is survived by: his brother, Robert E. Cooper and wife, Shirley; two nieces, Robbie Cooper Dywan and Sue Cooper; two nephews, Jim Cooper and Laurin Cooper. He was "Grunkle Mac" to four great nephews, Christopher Adams, Cooper Strickland, Brendan Cooper and Cameron Cooper; one great niece, Katie Strickland;and one great-great niece, Rory Adams.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Cape Fear Valley Health Foundations, Friends of Children (NICU), P.O. Box 87526, Fayetteville, NC 28304; or to the charity of your choice.
