WADE Mr. James "Harvey" Johnson, Jr., 67 of 7964 Maxwell Road, died on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Center Baptist Church with Rev. Randal Strickland, Dr. Phil Spears and Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Stedman. Mr. Johnson was a native of Johnston County, and was the son of the late James Harvey, Sr. and Eutrice Taylor Johnson. He was a Farmer. Mr. Johnson is survived by: his wife, Annette Johnson of the home; two sons, Michael Wade Johnson and wife, Cheryl of Arlington, VA, and Brian Harvey Johnson and wife, Lisa of Clayton; two brothers, C.W. Johnson of Radcliffe, KY and Ronnie Johnson of Stanley; one sister, Carolyn; four grandchildren, Carenna, Bryce, Alana and Grant; and his mother-in-law, Oleta Matthews of Wade. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of North Carolina, 5950 Fairview Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210.
