Mr. James Cleat "J.C." Benton

Roseboro Mr. James Cleat "J.C." Benton, 71, of 4491 Mintz Road, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 2 PM at Butler Funeral Home with Dr. John McBride officiating. Mr. Benton was the son of the late Walter Carl and Hettie Davis Benton. He was a farmer. Mr. Benton is survived by: wife, Flora Rickie Benton, of the home; daughter, Patricia Renee Horne, of Roseboro; two sisters, Alice Faye Johnson, of Garland and Deborah White and husband Larry, of Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roseboro Rescue and EMS, PO Box 891, Roseboro, NC 28382 or to the Roseboro Fire Department, PO Box 426, Roseboro, NC 28382. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-4 pm at the funeral home following the memorial service.
