THOMASVILLE
Mr. James Bruce Hardison, 83, a resident of Brantley Drive, Thomasville, died on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Thomasville Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
He was born on June 21, 1931 in Johnson County, Benson, to J.B. Hardison and Sarah Cornelia Lee Hardison. He was the owner/operator of Hardison's Auto Salvage and Parts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jackie and Paul Hardison; and sister, Peggy Hardison.
On May 16, 1983, he married Josephine Poff, who survives of the home; also surviving are two sons, James Allen Laine and Ronnie Lee Laine; one daughter, Robin Michelle Laine; two brothers, Rayford Hardison and wife Mary, and Clifton Hardison and wife Alene; five sisters, Barbara Daniel and husband Floyd, Patsy Carter and husband Cleve, Sue Jackson and husband Dwight, Nancy Upchurch, and Carolyn Hardison; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a special aunt, Lillie Hardison; two sisters-in-law, Margaret and Techi Hardison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC.
