Mr. James Rupert Hairr, 76

SALEMBURG Mr. James Rupert Hairr, 76 of 725 Old Salemburg Road, died on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Salemburg Baptist Church with Rev. John Adams and Rev. Jimmie Suggs officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mr. Hairr was born in 1934 in Sampson County to the late Lattie A. and Bettie Royal Hairr. He was a farmer. He is survived by: his wife, Eleanor "Ann" Hairr of the home; one son, James Rupert Hairr, Jr. and wife Roberta of Salemburg; two daughters, Brenda Hairr Dudley and husband Tom of Salemburg and Ginger Hairr Conoway of Clinton; two sisters, Gertrude Spell of Roseboro and Jean Stewart of Autryville; three brothers, Carl Hairr and Omax Hairr both of Greensboro and Roger Hairr of Stedman; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and long time family member, Robert Allen Faircloth of Salemburg. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
