Mr. James "Eddie" Edward Herring, 60 of Clinton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Rodney Faircloth officiating.  Burial will follow in the Herring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Mr. Herring was a native of Sampson County, the son of James Fredrick and Audrey Jeanette Hastings Herring.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Debbie Price.

He is survived by five daughters, Crystal Sessoms, Jessica Herring (Matthew Kearns), Brooke Herring, Bailey Herring and Amanda Carter; six grandchildren, Madyson Sessoms, Alexis Sessoms, Kiley Hewitt, Brayden Hewitt, Landyn Carter and Chloe Matthews; brother, Freddie Herring, (Sharon Herring); and significant other, Lynetta Faircloth.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Butler Funeral Home, P. O. Box 638, Roseboro, NC  28382 to help the family with funeral expenses.
