James Baldwin (Baldy) was a California native, born January 29th of 1942 and passed September 5th of 2022 at the age of 80.
Jim worked on an air force base in Wake Island with his cousin. He managed a thriving Shakey’s Pizza Parlor as a young adult. Jim was a bodybuilder enthusiast, inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger and was also an avid gardener and landscaper. Since his youth, fast cars and motorcycles were always in his blood. Jim had a deep love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was a part of a biker club in California. He had a great spirit of entrepreneurship, which was evident through the opening of an exotic bird business. Jim also bred, raised and showed English bulldogs nationwide. He was an integral part of the building of Silicone Valley, the Vegas Strip and Southern California, with the installation of the Fire Protection System through his Union National Automatic Sprinkler Industry Local 669. After his retirement, he enjoyed working with a professional event parking company where he helped get vehicles organized and parked for large events. In 2010, Jim relocated to be closer to family here in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He became part of the Parking Ministry at Freedom Biker Church, and served in other areas within the church. He grew his relationship with Jesus Christ while attending Freedom Biker Church and was moved by everyone he met. Everywhere Jim went, he made long-lasting friends, leaving a trail of memories in their heart. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason of Progress Lodge Salt Lake City Utah.
