BLADENBORO Rev. James Britt, 72 of 40 Haven of Rest Drive, Bladenboro, died on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at J. & L. Britt's Holy Ghost Baptized Holiness Church with Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls. Rev. Britt was born on June 19, 1939 in Robeson County to the late John Thomas and Mary Etta Butler Britt. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Britt Allen. He retired as a supervisor with the Department of Transportation. He served 50 years as an Ordained Minister preaching Old Time Holiness. He is survived by: his wife, Wanda Johnson Britt of the home; two brothers, Thomas Britt of St. Pauls and Willie Britt of Lumberton; and three sisters, Margaret Britt Nance, Henrietta Britt Lee and Betty Britt all of St. Pauls. The family will receive friends on Monday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 P.M. at the J. & L. Britt's Holy Ghost Baptized Holiness Church, 3711 Center Road, Bladenboro.
