Mr. J W Harper, 83 of Garland, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Ashe Gardens Assisted Living in Burgaw.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 19, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Born December 13, 1933 in Drew County, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Johnnie Wells and Thelma Rebecca McKewon Harper. He retired from the US Air Force.

He is survived by his loving family.

The visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
