AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Iula Bullard Chase, 87, of Autryville passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 in Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport. Mrs. Chase was born August 19, 1924, in Sampson County. She was the daughter of the late Calhoun Bullard and Estella Sessoms Bullard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Chase and two brothers. She retired as Assistant Vice President of BB&T Bank in Fayetteville, having worked for 35 years at several locations. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Butler Funeral Home chapel in Stedman, with the Rev. Richard Spell officiating. Burial will follow in George Horne Cemetery on South River Road, Autryville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of George Kenneth Chase, 3167 South River Road, Autryville. She is survived by son, George Kenneth Chase and wife, Donna of Autryville; granddaughters, Angela Chase Jackson and husband Brian of Autryville and Audrey Chase Wallace and husband, David of Oak Island; 4 great-grandchildren, Addison Jackson, Chase Jackson, Macayla Wallace and Krisalyn Wallace; and 2 sisters, Ethel Cashwell of Autryville and Bonnie Hodges of Dunn. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Butler Funeral Home chapel in Stedman, with the Rev. Richard Spell officiating. Burial will follow in George Horne Cemetery on South River Road, Autryville.
