Mrs. Iula Autry Baxter, 79

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Iula Autry Baxter, 79, of 1367 Wade-Stedman Rd. died Wednesday, January 21 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was a retired employee of Liggett-Myers Tobacco Co. Mrs. Baxter was a native of Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Raeford K. Autry and Sarah H. Faircloth. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Arlene Hall Mangum. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 26 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Pastor David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Cemetery in Raleigh. Mrs. Baxter is survived by a sister, Betty Hubbard of Stedman; son, James Raeford Hall of Durham; granddaughters, Valery Cohen of Hillsborough and Melissa Hall of Durham; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, January 25 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
