Mr. Irwin Lynch Vinson, Jr.

Autryville Mr. Irwin Lynch Vinson, Jr. 87, of 109 Williams St., Autryville, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2007 at Autryville Baptist Church at 11 A.M. Rev. Ronald Long and Rev. Ricky Spell, will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Autryville Cemetery. Mr. Vinson was born in 1919 in Sampson County to the late I. L. Vinson Sr. and Emma Cooper Vinson. He worked for many years as a farmer and businessman. Mr. Vinson served for more than 30 years as Mayor Pro-Tem in Autryville. He was preceded in death by his daughter Emily L. Vinson Stoffa. Mr. Vinson is survived by his son: I. L. "Chip" Vinson III. Of Wilmington, Granddaughters: Kelly Vinson and Kristen Vinson both of Wilmington and his grandson: Chad Vinson of Morrisville, and his sister Margaret Jaynes of Autryville. Family will receive friends, Friday, November 2, 2007 from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M at the Autryville Baptist Church.
