STEDMAN
Mrs. Iona Elizabeth Lamb, 90, of 670 Fred Hall Road died Sunday, December 11, 2011 in her home.
She was born in Cumberland County on June 9, 1921, the daughter of the late George W. Hales and Janie Scoggins Hales. She is also predeceased by her husband, Ertle Lamb; a son, Edwin L. Perry; a brother, James Hales; three sisters, Myrlie Lewis, Arlene Caudle and Willie Ann Wood; and a son-in-law, Andrew F. Faircloth.
Mrs. Lamb was a seamstress for Civil Service.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Rev. Paul Worley and Rev. Teresa Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral.
She is survived by: two daughters, Ann P. Hair and husband, Bobby of Stedman and Joan P. Faircloth of Fayetteville; one brother, Hubert Hales of Fayetteville; seven grandchildfen, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
