Ila "Peggy" Lee (Chason) Horne

Mrs. Ila Lee (Peggy) Chason Horne, 85 passed away peacefully Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

"Mama Horne", as she was known by family & friends, was a meticulous homemaker. She nurtured not only her four daughters, but many friends in the community. Baking cakes, sewing, running carpools and lending a helping hand where her heart led her.

Graveside service will be held at 3:30pm Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 5064 Macedonia Church Road, Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at 2:00pm at the church prior to the graveside service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alonza Rankin Chason & Lena Mae Edge Chason; and her husband, Arthur Alexander Horne.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Maultsby & husband, Byron, Donna Foster, Dawn Johnson & husband, Donny and Diane Latting; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
