Mrs. Ida K. Owens, 59

CLINTON Mrs. Ida Kay Shipp Owens, 59 of 409 Concord School Road, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Owens was born on February 4, 1951 in Sampson County to the late Frank and Mildred Hubbard Shipp. She worked as a Secretary with Bradford Builders in Fayetteville. Mrs. Owens is survived by: her husband, Edward T. Owens of the home; two sons, Frank Owens and wife, Devan of Clinton, and Timothy Owens and wife, Tamicah of Raleigh; one brother, Jimmy Shipp of Clinton; and one sister, Gloria Maynard of Harrells. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 P.M. at Elizabeth Baptist Church,1481 Fleet Cooper Road, Roseboro, and other times at the home.
