ROSEBORO
Mr. Hughie Manley White, 73 of 225 Microwave Tower Road, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at the Roseboro Cemetery.
Mr. White was born on July 24, 1937 in Bladen County to the late Hyram Evans and Lundy Spencer White. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria McLamb White; one brother, Livingston White; and one sister, Betty Weston. He retired as a Meat Cutter with Lundy Packing Company.
He is survived by: three children, Kim Smith and husband Dwayne of Roseboro, Pam Cain and husband Terry of Shelby, and Hughie White, II and wife Carrie of Roseboro; three brothers, Larry Thomas White and wife Celestine of Roseboro, Ronald White and wife Jean of Autryville, and Richard Cary White and wife Patty of Kinston; four sisters, Lavinia Mizelle and husband Kermit of Chadbourn, Phyllis Guill of Fayetteville, Linda McPherson of Ocean Isle, and Eleanor Burrow and husband John of Randleman; and four grandchildren, Spencer Cain, Matthew Cain, Hughie "Trey" White, III, and Kaycie White.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home of his son, 164 Microwave Tower Road, Roseboro.
