Mr. Hubert Glenn Jackson, 54

Hubert "Glenn" Jackson, 53 was born June 12, 1961 and went home to be with the Lord n May 7, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with his family and friends by his bedside.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemarie and Connie Jackson; brother, Jimmy; father, Henry "Goody" Jackson; and infant son, Glenn Iverson Jackson.

He is survived by sisters, Shelia Carroll of Fayetteville, and Bertha Byrd of Rocky Point; three brothers, Henry, Bruce and Tony Jackson all of Fayetteville; sons, Rodger Horne, Burnis Jackson & Joey Jackson; daughter, Dorothy Jackson Thomas; three grandkids, Terra, Jada and Nevada and a ton of nephews and nieces.

Glenn was a family man. So kind, sweet, funny and loving. Glenn would give you the shirt off of his back. he was devoted to all of his family. He enjoyed coaching his grandkids baseball team and beach trips. He especially loved seeing the sun rise. He will always be in our hearts and will forever be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 11, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Pastor Marion Horne. Interment will follow at New Cemetery on Hwy 210 in Stedman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-1:45PM Monday, May 11, 2015 at the funeral home before the service.
