Mr. Horace T. Cashwell, 86

STEDMAN Mr. Horace T. Cashwell, 86 of 8495 Clinton Road, Stedman, died on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with the Rev. Steve Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandy Horne Cemetery in Autryville. Mr. Cashwell was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late John Henry and Maggie Davis Cashwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris Hall Cashwell and a son, Horace Cashwell, Jr. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He is survived by two sons, Joseph Cashwell and wife, Joyce of the home and Hughie Cashwell and wife, Linda of Fayetteville; two daughters, Ada Hairr and husband, Ferman of Fayetteville and Katherine Naylor of Eastover; one brother, Robert F. Cashwell of Autryville; two sisters, Hilda Lamper of Hendersonville and Frances Julian of Lexington, SC; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and at other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with the Rev.
