Mr. Homer Leon Hairr, 81 of Salemburg went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 17, 2023 at Salemburg Baptist Church with Rev. Jacob Peterson and Rev. Drew Bolin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salemburg Cemetery.

Mr. Hairr was a native of Sampson County, the son of Allen Gilbert and Rose Elon Bass Hairr.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Elizabeth Bullard Hairr; daughter, Lynette Hairr;  brothers, Stanley Hairr and Arnold Hairr; and sister, Shirley Banks.  He was a farmer and a saleman for Nutrien Ag Solutions in Salemburg.

He is survived by two sons, Allen Hairr and wife, Dana and Mark Hairr and wife, Leigh all of Autryville; four grandchildren, Grace Hairr, Rylie Hairr, Evelyn Hairr and Andrew Hairr; two brothers, Charles Hairr and Joe Hairr; four sisters, Paulette Carter, Frankie Andrews, Julie Medlin and Ellen Parker.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home.
