STEDMAN

Mr. Homer Elwin Cox, 91 of Stedman, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be private.

He was born February 24, 1924 in Urbana, Illinois, and was the son of the late Elwin and Lessie Edna Dunn Cox. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Charlotte June McCready Cox. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and US Air Force serving in WWII and retired as a home renovator. He was also a distant relative of Mark Twain.

He is survived by three daughters, Dawn Vogt of Stedman, Cynthia Cox-Loesch of Stedman, Christine Taylor of Ivel, Kentucky; three sons, Jon Cox of Phoenix, Arizona, Mark Cox of San Francisco, California, Craig Cox of Dayton, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday, December 5 at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
