Mrs. Hildred Crumpler Caison, 85

CLINTON Mrs. Hildred Virginia Crumpler Caison, 85 of Clinton, died on Friday, January 14, 2011 in the Select Specialty Hospital, at Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, from complications related to pneumonia. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Roseboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow at the Roseboro Cemetery. Known as "Mimi" by her loving family, Mrs. Caison was born June 26, 1925, in Rocky Mount, NC, to the late James Edwin and Mary Elizabeth Crumpler. She attended primary and secondary school in Roseboro and in Hillsborough County, FL. She remained close to her high school classmates from Roseboro throughout her life. After she married the late J.P. Caison, on July 4, 1943, they became members of the Roseboro First Baptist Church where she remained active until the time of her death. Always energetic and gregarious, Mrs. Caison enjoyed the company of her many family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, J.P. Caison formerly Clinton; by a son, Michael "Mike" Price Caison formerly of Clinton; and three brothers, Dr. Warren Harding Crumpler, Robert James Crumpler, and Paul Clinon Crumpler all formerly of Mt. Olive. She is survived by: two daughters, Susan Sharp and husband David of Beaufort, SC, and Bobbie Ann Gore and husband Jimmy of Cary; one son, Deems Caison and wife Nancy of Clinton; one sister, Anne Dewar of Mt. Olive; four grandchildren, Mary Sharp of Beaufort, SC, Kathy Sharp and husband Brian Hann of Camden, SC, Warren Gore and wife Jenny of Cary, and Jacob Gore of Cary; four great grandchildren, Spencer and Jacob Hann of Camden, SC, and Leah and Tori Gore of Cary; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and loving friends. The family will receive friends at a reception at the First Baptist Church following the graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Caison's name to the Roseboro First Baptist Church, 3720 S. Salemburg Highway, Roseboro, NC 28382. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
