Hilda B. Sasser, age 83, of Wade N.C., passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021 in her home surrounded by family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Preston C. Sasser, children Terry Sasser & wife Mary Lynn, Timothy Sasser & wife Elaine, and Lori Miller; grandchildren Emily Fera & husband Kyle, Ashley Eddins & husband  Kevin, Megan Swaim & husband Ethan; great-grandchildren Reagan, Hadley, Jackson, and Preston;  brother Robert Batson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Glen Batson, mother Edna Batson and three sisters, Dorothy Batson, Shirley Smith and Mary Davis.

Hilda adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved them with every ounce of her being. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to bake and sew, taking them shopping, and gardening.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2021 at Old Bluff Cemetery with Pastor Joe Hickson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Baptist Church, 4210 Center Church Rd. Wade, NC 28395
