Ms. Hilda Ann Hobbs, 89, of New York City, NY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Calvary Hospital in New York.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Reverend Andy Wood officiating. The burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

Ms. Hilda was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Edgar Alfonizo Hobbs and Annie Hortence Faircloth Hobbs. She was a high school graduate of Roseboro High School. She then attended the Parson School of Design and also John Robert Powers Modeling Academy. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, William Radford Hobbs, Robert Arnold Hobbs, Shelton Earl Hobbs, and Wayne Alfonizo Hobbs.

She is survived by a son, David Keith Arthurs; a daughter, Kelly Lynn Arthurs; and two grandchildren, Christina Arthurs and Aidan Arthurs.
