Mr. Herman Richard Faircloth, 91 went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, September 6, 2024 at Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating will be Rev. Michael Bartlett and Rev. Donald Baldwin. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.
Richard was born in Sampson County to the late J A Faircloth and Nellie Sessoms Faircloth. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Lottie Pope and Mary Stevens; and his brother, James Faircloth.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran, and was the owner of Clinton Auto Parts for many years. He was very well known in the car parts industry in both North Carolina and South Carolina. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He was a hard worker, and a dedicated Christian. He loved his God, his family and his country.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of almost 70 years, Vernie Nunnery Faircloth of the home; daughter, Pamela Underwood & husband, Frankie of Stedman; grandchildren, Tiffany Tew & husband, Andy of Stedman and Ashley Strickland of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Colton Tew and Laney Beth Tew; sister, Elma Rockwell; and brother, Don Faircloth & wife, Linda of Fayetteville.
