Mr. Herbert Cleo Johnson, 73

Garland Mr. Herbert Cleo Johnson, 73, of 8319 Old Mintz Highway, passed away Friday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 10-15-2006 at 2 PM at Parkersburg Baptist Church with Pasor Thomas Fortner and Rev. Ronnie Grizzle officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Hamilton and Bevie Johnson. He was an Army Veteran and a member, deacon and former sunday school director of Parkersburg Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert Glen Johnson and two brothers, Waddell and Jerry Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by: wife, Margaret Johnson, of the home; son, Duane Johnson, of Clinton; daughter, Donna Johnson, of Clinton; brother, Alton Johnson, of Garland; sister, Ruth Carson, of Bladenboro; two grandchildren, Cody and Taylor Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to the Parkersburg Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 446, Garland, NC 28441.
