Mr. Henry Bennett Davis, Sr.

Roseboro Mr. Henry Bennett Davis, Sr., 64, of 655 Hall Road, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at his home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 2:00 p. m. at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Hilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucas Cemetery. Mr. Davis was a native of Cumberland County and the son of the late Jesse James Davis and was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Henry Davis. He was the owner and operator of Davis Auto Sales. Mr. Davis is survived by: three daughters, Teresa Gail Cain and Mary Lou Davis Johnson, both of Pamplico, SC and Holly Davis, of Clinton; two sons, Henry Bennett Davis, Jr., of Pamplico, SC and Donnie Davis, of Clinton; mother, Sarah Clyde Davis, of Clinton; brother, Earl Davis, of Florida; sister, Ruth Lucas, of Raleigh; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receieve friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday night at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
