Mrs. Helen Jean (Matthews) Faircloth, 76 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Hampton Faircloth officiating. The burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Faircloth was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Payten and Sarah Ruth Ezzell Matthews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Matthews; and her sister-in-law, Goldie Matthews.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Herman Faircloth of the home; her daughter, Teresa Faircloth and husband, Hampton of Roseboro; her son, Jimmy Faircloth and wife, Michelle of Hayne; four grandchildren, Brandon Bielen, Haley Evans (Steven), Ben Faircloth (Lillie) and Andie Faircloth; her brother, Stanley Matthews; her sister-in-law, Linda Matthews; and two best friends, Gayle Faircloth and Evelyn Benson.
