Mrs. Hazel Mclemore Bullard, 96

STOKES Mrs. Hazel McLemore Bullard, 96, of 2964 Beargrass Road Stokes, NC formerly of Autryville, died Friday July 5, 2013, at Golden living Center, Greenville, NC. There will be a funeral at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Paul Honeycutt and Rev. Stan Asby officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bullard was born on December 13, 1916, in Sampson County to the late Alvin and Lillie Porter McLemore. She is also preceded in death by: her husband, Roland R. Bullard; her daughter, Carolyn B. Blackburn; two sisters, Bonnie Gilchrist and Doris Rich; and four brothers, Seavy McLemore, Ernest McLemore, Hubert McLemore and Lynwood McLemore. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church for many years and for several years she attended Tolarsville Baptist Church of St. Pauls. In her last years she attended Sweet Gum Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Stokes, NC. Mrs. Bullard loved to sew and to work in her yard. She is survived by: her son, Sidney Bullard and wife, Ann of Stokes, NC; grandchildren, Sheri Jolly and husband, Dickie of Wilmington, Kenneth Bullard and wife, Linda of Brighton, MI, Jon Newton of London, England, and Carla Amedee and husband, Brett of Murrietta, CA; great- grandchildren, Aaron Jolly, Tiffany Mosley, Amanda Bullard, Tyler Amedee, Seth Amedee and Walker Amedee; great-great-grandchildren, Caden Mosley and Levi Mosley; sisters-in law, Lellon McLemore and Brenda McLemore and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2013, from 6 to 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant Union Baptist Church 2300 Pleasant Union Road, Roseboro, NC 28382. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
