Mrs. Hazel Brown, 83 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend W.A. Creech officiating. The burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the funeral prior to the service.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Clay County, Kentucky, the daughter of Harrison and Clora Gibson Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward L. Brown, Jr.; her son, David W. Brown; nine siblings, Laurie Davidson Rice, Russell Davidson, Dewey Davidson, Harlan Davidson, Charles Davidson, Pitman Davidson, Bessie Davidson Meyers, Martha Davidson Couch and Annie Davidson Rice; and her special friend, James Honeycutt.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, David Brown and wife, Ashley, and Eddie Brown all of Roseboro; her grandson, Matthew Lee Brown; and her brother, Harrison Davidson, Jr.
