Mr. Harry Kenneth Curvin, Sr., 87 of Salemburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 27, 2024 at his home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Grove Park Baptist Church in Clinton with Rev. Jonathon Shattuck officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Godwin with masonic rites.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM on Friday at the church prior to the service.
Mr. Curvin was a native of Milton, Florida , the son of Ruben Curvin and Gladys Mainor Curvin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-father, Thomas William Stewart. He was a Past Master of Slidell Masonic Lodge in Slidell, LA, Coharie Masonic Lodge, #379 and Roseboro Masonic Lodge, #585. He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn L. Curvin; two daughters, Pam Mitchell and husband, Jerry and Tonya Peterson and husband, Rodney; two sons, Harry Kenneth Curvin. Jr and wife, Paula and Tom Curvin and wife, Ann; eleven grandchildren, Brad Barnes, Gracie Barnes, Jennifer Hubeny, Zack Curvin, Will Curvin, John Curvin, Elizabeth Curvin, James Peterson, Eva Cate Peterson, Emma Peterson and Adalen Peterson; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St, Oxford, NC 27565; and the Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
