AUTRYVILLE
Mr. Harold Orman Spell, 84, of 1003 Welcome School Road, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2007 at 3:00 P. M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Bishop Warren H. Barfield officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Spell was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late George Oliver and Neta Ann Honeycutt Spell. He was a courier with First Citizens Bank before retiring and was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Percy Spell and a grandson.
Mr. Spell is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gertie Draughon Spell, of the home; his sons, Gibson Spell and wife Brenda, Allen Lynn Spell and wife Michelle, both of Autryville and Ray Spell and wife Pat, of Macon, Georgia; daughters, Debbie Mann and husband Scott and Dean Barefoot and fiancee William Purvis, all of Autryville; sisters, Kathleen Fields, of Hope Mills and Annie Ruth Bradshaw, of Eastover; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 till 8 P. M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home of Dean Barefoot, 955 Welcome School Road, Autryville.
