Harold Lee Melvin, Sr., 82 of 7171 Cedar Creek Road passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Cumberland County to the late Harvey Melvin and Pauline Melvin. He was also a United States Air Force Veteran.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home, officiating will be Rev. John Blackman, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home before the service.

He is survived by his son, Harold Lee Melvin, Jr. & wife, Angie of Fayetteville; daughters, Brenda Jackson & husband, Donald of Newport and Amy Wilkerson of Kenly; brothers, Vance and Jake Melvin of Fayetteville; sister, Juanita Heubert of Wisconsin; 3 grandchildren, Amber Wells of Fayetteville, Bryan Ryals of Greenville, NC and Emma Jackson of Newport.
