Mr. Harold D. Jackson, 82

AUTRYVILLE Mr. Harold Darwin Jackson, 82, of 670 Maxwell Road, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Baptist Chapel Church with the Rev. Alan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Jackson was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Robert Leroy and Lillian Warren Jackson and was preceded in death by his wife Brownie Williams Jackson. He was a veteran serving in the US Merchant Marines, a member and lifetime deacon, former Sunday school teacher and song leader of Baptist Chapel Church. He dearly loved his family. Mr. Jackson is survived by: two daughters, Gloria Jordan and husband Ed and Sue Matthews and husband Clayton, all of Autryville; two sons, David Jackson and wife Glennis, of Cumberland Gap, Tenn. and Keith Jackson and wife Betty, of Raeford; two sisters, Willadean Royal, of Salemburg and Leta Naylor, of Roseboro; brother, Robert Jackson, of Autryville; six grandchildren, Dana Fisher, Susan Matthews, Vanessa Cutrone, Lisa Knowles, Anthony Lisbon and Andrew Jackson; 12 great-grandchildren, Tabatha Fisher, Cody Fisher, Brittney Knowles, Brianna Knowles, Kelsye Carroll, Summer Jordan, Carmen Jordan, Todd Jordan, Jr., Courtney Jordan, Austin Jordan, Evan Jordan and Kerri Jordan; 11 step-grandchildren, Brandon Carroll, Matt Carroll, Kevin Jordan, Scott Jordan, Michael Jordan, Todd Jordan, Roma Peters, Beth Brock, Wayne Bryan, J.R. Nunn and Jan Nunn. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from 6 till 9 PM at Baptist Chapel Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baptist Chapel Church Building Fund, 2256 Baptist Chapel Road, Autryville, NC 28318. Services are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
